Are you in it to win it? It is a question I have asked myself over and over.
AM I in it to win it? Really?
I want to encourage you today to hang in there if you are having a rough patch! I get it – I have been there!
When you start down a path that you know will make you better, will improve your life or your family’s – do you have what it takes to keep going through the long haul?
What if it took you a few years to lose a small amount of weight? Maybe at the rate of a pound per month if you worked really hard?
If you knew before you started that it would take TIME to have major progress would it discourage you? I hope not!
Case in point: I started trying to get in better shape 3 years ago. It has taken me up until now to FINALLY start losing inches from my waistline! I’ve lost about 20 pounds – but not one single inch came off my fluffy waist in that time. If I had quit after a few months of nothing happening, I would still be in the same miserable shape – probably even worse!
Here’s another question: what if it took 4 years to grow your business into a 6 figure income?
Would you stop after the first year because it was slow and you ran through your warm market, and you were ONLY making $300 a month?
Hello?! I hope you would celebrate that you are making an EXTRA $300 a month that you didn’t have before!
And then I hope you would do everything you can to figure out what is holding you back and push past it.
Here’s part of my story – 2 years ago I was getting my feet wet in business. Oh my, I had such a massive learning curve! I am not even the same person now because of all the personal growth! I was totally intimidated but I was determined.
I needed to learn more but there were things holding me back. So I made a hard choice to say goodbye to something I loved very much, something that was part of my identity. I sold my dairy goats so that I could go on a company business trip all by myself and not knowing a soul, to meet new people and LEARN what the heck I should do next.
It was one of the best decisions I ever made! My whole attitude got a super-mega-huge-multivitamin dose of courage and fortitude!
Since then I have seen so many jump in to my business and give up after a short time. I wonder where they could be in a few more years if they had just stuck with it.
One of my coaches bluntly says “I can’t want this more than you do – success doesn’t happen that way.”
So I ask “Are you in it to win it?”
Stop and think about it and let me know what you are going to do to push past the place you are in now.
