Ready or not, here they come!
The Holidays are upon us. I have already had one family meal and it was wonderful! I’m looking forward to the rest of the season but I know it will take a toll on my body if I’m not prepared and proactive about handling the stress and lack of sleep. With my health problems, I tend to be affected more easily than most people. I know when my body is in a high-maintenance state and do what I can to support it so that I don’t fall into a heap on the couch in the middle of everything.
Of course I get all the sleep I can, extra nutrition, plenty of water, and fresh air.
The essential oils I will be using this month to help my body handle the extra stress of the holiday are:
Nutmeg – applied over the adrenal/kidney area. Supportive for the adrenals and I use it when I feel fatigue setting in
Thieves – every day on my feet and in the diffuser to help support our immune systems (this goes for the whole family!)
Joy or Bergamot – helps with the seasonal blues – apply a drop over the heart area
Valor – I use it every day anyway and it helps me feel more balanced emotionally and physically aligned – applied to the instep of both feet
Christmas Spirit – it’s just beautiful and reminds me to enjoy the season
Lemon and Grapefruit – a few drops in my water glass to help with bloating/puffines. When added to the diffuser, these are very uplifting and calming scents
Lavender or Peace and Calming – a drop at night to help promote sleep
I also drink a couple ounces of NingXia Red every day for the anti-oxidants and energy boosting I get from it
