This week I had the pleasure (not really!) of finding a new use for Joy Essential Oil! It is commonly used for helping emotions such as sadness. It is a great spirit-lifter and mood booster. Some people use it as a perfume too – it has rose oil in it and is a heavy floral scent. Honestly, it’s not my favorite smelling oil – I don’t love the smell of roses at all. Everybody has an oil that they don’t care for – but that’s not always a reason to set it on a shelf and not use it!
Joy is my favorite oil for a dreaded summer fun-stopper: contact with a plant that makes me itch. I used it last summer when I got a couple spots on my wrist. Nothing else helped and the itch kept me awake at night. I tried various other oils and remedies and finally thought to look up that plant in my Essential Oil Reference Guide – I thought it was an odd suggestion but it worked! I was amazed. ***Important FYI: Joy is an oil that will make you photosensitive so DO NOT GO IN THE SUN unless you cover up the area you apply it to***
All of the essential oils have multiple uses – isn’t it amazing? God made the plants to do so many things for use. Sometimes it takes a bit of experimenting to find the right solution, but keep trying and something will work out!
Joy oil is available at my Young Living web store. It also comes in the Premium Starter kit now!!
